What does "special ordered" mean?

Parts are marked "special ordered" if the parts are not kept on our shelf but are available from our warehouse or straight from the manufacturer. This will be indicated by an asterisk * in your shopping cart beside the part number. Keep in mind if one of the parts in your order has an asterisk * the complete order will have the status as Special Ordered. The order will not ship until the special order parts have been received. We place our orders with our east coast Lotus distribution center early Tuesday mornings and items are received Friday evenings and are ready for shipment the following Monday. You will be notified if further delays persist from parts having to be sourced from the west coast or the UK On average your order will ship out to you in 7-10 business days. In some cases it may take longer due to backordered or unavailable parts. Please note you are notified in site policies of approximate shipping times and are notified " For MyLotusGarage.com to keep prices low and to service all customers as quick as possible, orders cannot be cancelled for any reason. Please make sure your part numbers are correct before placing your order. Special ordered parts marked with an asterisk * along with electrical items are non-returnable. Parts that are in high demand may take some additional time to receive.

 

Am I ordering directly from Lotus? Or are you a Lotus dealer?

We are a Lotus dealer and a division of Flow Automotive.

 

How long before my order ships?

On average your order will ship out in 7-10 business days. In some cases it may take longer due to back-ordered, special-ordered or unavailable parts. Please note you are notified in site policies of approximate shipping times "For MyLotusGarage.com to keep prices low and to service all customers as quick as possible, orders cannot be cancelled for any reason. Please make sure your part numbers are correct before placing your order." Most of the time, the status of your order will say "on order." That is because when your order is placed, we will check the availability of the parts and try to notify you of any backorder or delay situations, and then you can make the choice to wait on the backorder or proceed with the other parts. Our orders for non-stocked items are placed on Tuesday afternoon from the LotusCarsUSA distribution center and in most cases are received to our facility by Friday afternoon. We strive to ship them out the same day that they arrive to our facility, especially with the weekend there so that you do not have to wait longer. If you place your order for a non-stocked part after Tuesday at noon, then it unfortunately will be a week before your order is placed with LotusCarsUSA, which can result in some serious lead time. If that is the case and you need your parts quicker then please open a support correspondence with our customer service team and we can add a supplement order for an upgrade fee. We only offer express shipping on a case by case basis when available, additional fees apply.

 

Why are your parts so inexpensive? Is this for real?

Yes, our prices are for real! We sell only original current production OE Lotus Parts. Parts and prices listed on our site are based off Lotus pricing. We can sell this low only because of our volume of parts sales and that we are an actual Lotus dealer, not a third party middle man. That is why we have to strictly adhere to our site polices, one of which is no phone calls please. We can help you in every way by email. On large items, if there is an additional shipping and handling fee, you will be notified and asked for approval after placing your order. How can I see the total with shipping and handling, before I order?

If you enter the part numbers needed to the "SEARCH" field listed on our home page (located in the upper right hand corner just below our banner) then click "Search". The "Search Results of Available Items" screen will then be displayed, if you then click the "ADD TO CART" button the part will then be added to the shopping cart. Once the parts are added to the shopping cart, you can then click "CHANGE PART QUANTITY" to view the shopping cart and see the shipping and handling of the parts and order total delivered to your door step. If you decide you don't want the part after inquiring, just delete that part from your shopping cart. If you find a lower delivered price at one of our competitors, please email us a screen shot and link of their delivered price and we will try to meet and beat their delivered price.
